trying to locate a hud senior facility in 90001

I applied at a new senior housing development tax property called Rittenhouse in downtown Los Angeles, CA (owned by TSA properties and regulated by HUD and the city housing authority). I filled out signed the application and authorized the employer, rent, and credit checks. During the interview but before the end of it I was repeatedly harassed about my income and told "You are going to have to move out because I can see your income is going to be too high." The owner has refused to supply me with copies of the application and the three checks that were done.

After my husband died several months ago I have been struggling to keep up the payments on this house. I don't want to live here anymore anyway, so am going to stop the payments. I am eligible for HUD low-income housing for seniors, but there are long waiting lists. I have no place to go. What will GMAC do to me and when? MO laws would apply. I can't afford an attorney for advice. What I have read about deed in lieu and short sale are very scary. My credit is excellent right now, but it won't be shortly and then renting will be difficult if they check my credit. At my age I don't care about my credit anymore, I just want a decent place to rent and I don't want to have to pay the mortgage company any deficit. Can anyone offer sound advice as to what I should do?

my sis is a patient in a mental hospital in IL where she is a resident. they cannot discharge as she has no housing , how could I help her , i am in a senior hud bldg in fl and she cannot live here

I am considering senior care business in California, and but I am not sure how to start it. The concept is that I buy high-end single family house to rent it out to seniors only to use it as a senior housing facility. Then they can hire their own caregiver or nurse. It is just like assisted living facility. The difference is that I do not hire people to provide care service, but the renters have to hire that on their own. In this case, do I have to get permit or special license from state? Do I have to call HUD to inspect the house to make sure it qualifies to be a senior housing? Or it is just simply like the normal rental business? Pls advise. Thanks!

I'm on disability for over 10 years (0.monthly for this year) due to mental slowness that's effective stability in the work enviroment, but that's not the issue. (10 years ago) being awarded 0. monthly at that time, could not continue to live in California. With some back pay (at that time) was able to afford to relocate to the next state in rural Nevada and finding a detach small home for rent in a rental housing development, much less than a cheap apartment in California. For the most part I was able to live within my means both finacially, and health wise. It's easier in this type of dwelling to alot having pets (have 2 cats and 1 dog) that have also help in my mental health and my mh councler to back me up on that. Much advantages of living in a rural town, however not when it comes to specialty health care, having unreliabe people, poor (very lacking) transportation is an issue, but even so, the lack ammenties, especially as I get older, but years away from being a senior citizen for qualifing for those type of programs.
10 years ago did not see these issues, but needed to live within my means as I had stated.
My low income only qualifies me for the (SLMB) state program that my low income is not consider low enough, . month food stamps and Dr. visit co-pay. The last 5 years I continue to be on the monthly section 8 hud voucher program that pays for the partial rent, and only can be used anywhere in "rural" Nevada, not Washoe, Churchill, and Clark counties. Rural Nevada does not provide specialty needs as I stated.
With my mental health condition make it too difficult to handle big major town.
The need to relocate to a situation that would assess my needs may not be by choice, and if not in the very state I live but to a state that would, I could not afford the move, and the hud waiting period.

Does anyone know if there some kind of government grant, or ? that would help?
My MH counsler does not know of any help that would assess these needs, the local section 8 hud doesn't know, friends and family, are unable to help, and the local social services, food stamp office can't help.
I felt I've done my homework, and it seems to appear Missouri is one possible few states with programs that may assess my needs, if need be(?).
In asking my local hud office about continuing, they said that the other state must assume the vouchers and the that other state said the state (Nevada) that I currently live that they must assume it.
I hope someone out there in the yahoo answer community knows of some kind of help,
instead of "I don't know what to tell you". Thank you.

i live in a hud over 62 building and I have a service animal. the manager has sent a memo saying that no other resident can babysit for my dog in their apartment. Is she legally allowed to do this? Can she say no pets in a senior HUD buiding. anyone know where I can get a copy of the law that applies
