This is your opportunity to let his dinner guests know what issues are important to you so that they can ask him directly why he would provide amnesty to 20 million illegals plus their families, not secure the border by building the fence – but rather the bill cuts the length in half from what was already approved, gives the border patrol a minimum of what they need to secure the border, puts our country in too much debt by paying for all of the benefits the illegals would receive – free education, low income housing, health benefits, etc. These benefits should be going to our senior citizens and impaired soldiers who are living on the streets because they can't find a job and don't have medical benefits. There is no fine that is firm for businesses abusing the law and providing fake documents to avoid taxes. The bill says "up to" for the dollar amount. Sneaky and underhanded! This bill only benefits the illegals & businesses.
Tina, these are people who are looking for questions to ask Obama when they meet with him, so this is your opportunity to get a direct answer from him as to why he would do something so wrong. Just click on the link and tell them what you think. Just maybe he will change his mind before they vote on this bill again. I have written him a number of times already with no response. This is to someone who will actually be talking with him and might be able to influence him to support the citizens instead of the illegals.
Here is the link to the votes for the amnesty bill and who tried to pass it:

1 BEDROOM APARTMENT IN TALLAHASSEE FL FOR SENOR CITIZEN

I am specifically interested in NW NJ / Morris and Sussex Counties.

I know an elderly woman who recieves live in 24hr care but her care provider doesn't do anything for her but keep her sick. The house is a mess with bugs and mildew everywhere. They even have a lice problem. The provider's daughter also lives there and is 15 with no education. I need a way to report this for the sake of the elderly woman. Please help!!

i work in the kitchen of a care home. i have only been there three months but since then i have had to take three separate days off. one because i was ill with gastroenteritis.(cant work around food with that and the elderly), the next one, i had to attend my partners funeral,(of which i worked another day to cover that day off, and the last one because my daughter was ill (stomach bug and sore throat). When i went to work the next day, my boss gave me a horrible time, saying he needed someone reliable, other people there have kids, and they dont take time off, (no, because they have husbands and family they can rely on). i am on my own. anyway, he more or less threatened to let me go. i am worried now, because if i get ill with colds, flu symptoms, i will still have to work because i dont want to get fired. please help if you can. and serious answers only. thanks in advance.

I've noticed since gasoline has gone up to .06 where I live, that I don't have the money to go anywhere much anymore. Plus, I have to really budget just to have food in the house! Do the politician's and hotshot oil companies actually care what they are doing to the average American especially those on low incomes such as Senior Citizens or Disabled American's who can't work. This next month I am not paying quite a few bills just to have some food in the house! And even Middle Income American's are having it hard to fill the gas tanks and have food in the house! Last year gasoline was about .40 a gallon and now look! Surprise!
I just feel something needs to be done about the gasoline> Like boycotting the gas pumps for a day maybe? I'd get a bicycle but I live in the middle of nowhere! I do plan on moving out of state to a small city with a bus close by. But I am sure the bus passes will go sky high too with fuel costs. Alot of seniors will have to return to work and those with severe health problems to have enough money for food I imagine. And overworked two income families will have to either stretch the dollar more or work second jobs. And this is the land of plenty? For the rich maybe…
I used to go to big banquets where there was so much food it would feed an army. All that waste of good food. I've worked in retail such as Fred Meyer's and Kmart and instead of donating food from the bakery or deli to the poor, or give it away, they'd trash it. You wouldn't believe the amount of good food thrown in dumpsters! There will come a time in America people will go hungry. And I am afraid it's starting right now. When I saw that Cindy McCain was worth million dollars that made me sick. The rich have gotten richer in this country and the poor are going hungry! We need to feed our poor and elderly and disabled and not that war machine in Iraq! Just my thoughts….
This is to the woman who commented about Cindy McCain "earning" her 6 million dollars by "honest" work in real estate. Most people I've known who have worked in Real Estate don't make that kind of money! Give me a break! The majority of people who are millionairies in this country are either hot shot politicians, crooks, mafia, or movie stars. One time I had a job interview with a scumbag who lived in a mansion. He wanted to pay me an hour as a secretary/nanny and he owned half the smut shops in Anchorage, Alaska (whorehouses) and was a drug dealer.
Thankfully I got called to Jury Duty and didn't have to work for the scumbag.
Oh yes, I forgot to mention the scumbag policians in Alaska who've embezzled thousands and thousands of dollars from the taxpayers and get slapped on the wrist. This country has gone to hell i a handbasket mainly because of corporate greed, corruption, and scumbag politicians while the poor and middle class are going hungry!
They have the audacity to call the people in prisons "crooks."

I'm currently in the process of getting a new place but didn't want to be out of a lot of money either. Is there any other things i could do to get a discount off my rent like senior citizen discount, become an employee for the apartment complex, and etc.

Need an apartment for adults only – not senior citizen – but adult only.

I am looking for a community that does not have nursing or rides to places..

I want to move from st pete florida to Naperville il because my family is there. I have no money. I am waiting for HUD housing for handicapped seniors they will call me within 6 months and I have 30 days to take the apartment. Any one know of a program to help me get my things there. I am using a wheelchair scooter and i have a small service dog. we will fly there and then need transport to the apt from the airport ty

There is a far-reaching scandal brewing for presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama, thanks to a radio talk show host based in Oregon. Syndicated talk show host Laurie Roth’s revelations make the news story about Obama’s relationship with a racist, anti-American pastor look like child’s play.

A top official at the Pentagon during former-President George H. W. Bush’s Administration and a former CIA intelligence officer maintain that Barack Obama and former Weather Underground honcho William Ayers funneled money to Professor Rashid Khalidi, a known terrorist sympathizer.

Khalidi serves on the faculty of Columbia University in New York and is best known as the professor who invited Iranian President Ahmedinejad to visit Columbia University after he finished his speech at the United Nations. According to confidential sources, Khalidi has direct ties to the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), a group on the US State Department’s list of known terrorist groups.

“One source for this information was once a top military figure in the 1990s. He doesn’t take making allegations lightly. If he says something happened, believe me, it happened,” said syndicated radio talk show host Laurie Roth.

“Another source is a former agent for the Central Intelligence Agency, who is an expert in counterterrorism,” said Roth, who broke the story on her show Friday night.

“I certainly don’t want to demonize someone because they are a woman, black or liberal running for President. I love the idea that in our culture, a black and woman can now run. However, it does matter to me with any candidate, their consistency with good judgment, their voting record, their association with people with questionable backgrounds and commitment to our country,” she said during her show. Here are the connections as described by very reliable sources, who possess impressive military, national security and intelligence backgrounds:

Allison Davis, who hired the young Obama into his small, Chicago law firm Davis, Miner, and Barnhill in 1993, left the firm in late 1999-2000 and became a housing developer. Davis went into business with Tony Rezko, the indicted businessman who’s scheduled to go on trial for corruption in Illinois, and who was a major fundraiser for Obama.

Davis met Rezko when he was a client of Davis, Miner, and Barnhill. Rezko is currently under indictment in Illinois for demanding kickbacks from companies seeking state government business contracts under Governor Blagojevich. Obama was identified as one of the politicians cited in the indictment as having received political contributions from Rezko out of his kickback funds.

Tony Rezko hosted fundraising events for Obama in his home and was on Obama’s US Senate campaign finance committee which collected million for his campaign against conservative Alan Keyes, an African-American who served as an Ambassador during the Reagan Administration. In order to avoid a scandal during his presidential campaign, Obama returned ,000 that Rezko and his family had donated to him.

In early 2000, while Obama served as a state senator in Illinois, he also sat on the board of the nonprofit Woods Fund. The Woods Fund is a Chicago-based foundation that claims its primary mission is to make financial grants in order to increase and/or create opportunities for disadvantaged people and low-income communities.

The chairman of the Woods fund board in 2000 was Howard Stanback, who like Obama also had connections to Davis, according to the reliable sources.

Davis submitted a grant request to the Woods Foundation for a million investment in his development partnership, Neighborhood Rejuvenation LP, that would be used to finance low-income senior-citizen housing. Under normal circumstances, a board member is supposed to recuse himself or herself from decisions where they have a business or personal relationship.

Obama, who did not recuse himself, voted to approve Davis’ grant request. Stanback, on the other hand, abstained from voting. The housing project, which also received a .7 million loan from the city of Chicago, in turn donated almost ,000 in political contributions to Obama’s presidential campaign.

In the past, Rezko gave Obama — who served as an Illinois State Senator — his first two political contributions in 1995, ,000 each from two of his companies. In 1998, State Senator Obama wrote letters to city and state officials urging them to fund a Davis-Rezko housing project. It was an obvious quid pro quo arrangement.

Another major fundraiser for Obama is William Ayers, who also sat on the board of the Woods Fund with Obama and is a professor at the University of Chicago.

Bill Ayers, along with his wife Bernadine Dohrn, was an active member of the Weather Underground, a radical left-wing group that advocated vio
Ayers and Dohrn are known to have held at least one fundraiser for Barack Obama in their Chicago home.

During Obama's last year on the board of The Woods Fund (2002), he participated in awarding grants, including a ,000 grant to the Arab American Action Network, a Chicago-based group founded by Rashid and Mona Khalidi.

In another suspected quid pro quo arrangement similar to those with Ayers and Rezko, Rashid Khalidi also held a fundraising event in his home for Barack Obama.

In the Middle East, Rashid Khalidi was known as a man to be reckoned with. From 1972 through 1983, Khalidi was the director in Beirut of the official Palestinian press agency, FAFA. His wife worked there as well.

According to sources, when the Khalidi's left Chicago for Columbia University in New York, Rashid was honored with the Edward Said Chair in Arab Studies at that Ivy League university. Their goodbye party in Chicago included testimonials from Bill Ayers and Barack Obama.
In a related story, during an interview on Thursday morning (March 20) with Black Panther leader Malik Zulu Shabazz, Fox News Channel viewers learned that Shabazz' group endorsed and supported Senator Barack Obama for President of the United States. Even on Fox — an organization wrongly accused of being "conservative" — the interviewers were careful in their questioning of Shabazz, a recognized racist and anti-American radical.

The New Black Panther Party leader proudly announced on Fox News that his organization endorsed Obama for President.

"While some people may say that Barack Obama has no control over who endorses him, he should have control over what endorsements are posted on his websites," said Laurie Roth, who, besides hosting a popular talk show, is a regular columnist for NewsWithViews.com
"The endorsement of the New Black Panther Party was posted on Barack Obama's website. Why was this tolerated unless Barack Obama wanted their endorsement? If he does not want their endorsement, how much control over his staff is he going to have once he's elected President?" asks Mike Baker.

The New Black Panther Party is openly anti-White, anti-Jewish, and anti-America. After Obama's Tuesday damage-control speech, his campaign pulled the Black Panthers' endorsement story off their website.

It's also been reported that Obama's campaign staff was allowed to fly a Che Guevara flag inside his office, according to NewsMax.
"Do these revelations demonstrate a pattern of Barack Obama's judgment? If so, then I do not want him dealing with world leaders. I do not want these groups having access to the White House. Do you?" asks the New Jersey-based political strategist.

"It appears the Barack Obama water carriers within the mainstream news media are on the job as usual — ignoring another story that has the alternative media on the Internet buzzing: Obama's embracement of an endorsement by the radical, racist organization," Baker added.

The restaurant I work at caters to the surrounding senior apartments. Senior citizens are often just fed crap. Really, it's crap. My grandmother gets Meals on Wheels daily and I wouldn't get near that toxic waste never mind EAT it.

We want to have things on our menu that they will LOVE and empty plates = restaurant success, so if anyone has any ideas of what their grandparents favorite foods are or if you're a senior, what your favorite food is. It's much appreciated!
I should've been more specific. I was more wondering what they wanted to eat in terms of foods native to their place of birth or american…
but thanks for all your input!

I live in Texas and I have my eye on an Activities Director position for an active retirement community that will open next spring. My background includes event planning, volunteering, marketing and property management, but no formal Activities Director experience. What certification or training might I get into in order to make me a more desireable candidate for this position?

please help im stuck for my course work :(

What are the care needs of the elderly and what would they expect in a care home?

I need to know what to expect during an elderly home companionship interview?

if the rent cost 00 per month how much do you estimate it would cost if a senior citizens discount applied?

i live in a hud over 62 building and I have a service animal. the manager has sent a memo saying that no other resident can babysit for my dog in their apartment. Is she legally allowed to do this? Can she say no pets in a senior HUD buiding. anyone know where I can get a copy of the law that applies

Does anyone know of any links to go to find housing for a senior citizen on a fixed income in the states of New Hampshire and Mass.? I DO NOT mean low income slums.
My mother (she's 75) wants to move closer to her grandchildren and we are in Mississippi. She also does not want to move to a retirement community. Any ideas? HELP!

I'm going to Florida with my family (mom, little sis and brother). We're staying with my grandma who lives in a retirement community type thing. They have their own houses but they're all old people. I'm 17 years old and how can I make this fun?

what are the pros and cons of senior citizen communities or apartments? How are they different from regular apartment living?
Can other family members of the senior citizen desiring a residence in a senior citizen community be allowed to live with the senior citizen?
or is it strictly senior citizens only?

lol..Mr edd…my mother has 2 bathrooms and 1 bedroom…lol
in the apartments most people are 60yrs and upwards…they really do have fun if they want to…or quiet times in there own space
When i say Retirement Flats…the only difference is that they have the emergency buttons inall the rooms and a onboard carer..on the outside you wouldnt know they were just for the retired…its not like a retirement home
right ok…pretend your 90yrs old …isnt it better than an old folks home
if your a couple its ok thinking its best to live alone ..but when your patner dies and you have no family or friends left near you..its a very sorry life…i moved my mother a long way to live near me in one of those flats…because i lived with her and i missed my family its been a struggle for 10 months…now she loves it and wishes when dad was alive they had did it together

If a person is on SSI and sells his/her home (because he/she can't afford it anymore) and moves into a low-income senior citizen high rise or housing where they use 30% of your income for rent, how does the sale of home affect the SSI and the future housing? Can you keep your profits from the home without losing SSI and do they use your home sale profits in determining your rent in the senior housing? Is there a way to keep your home sale profits without affecting anything? This is the State of Wisconsin.

I'm interested in providing care in my home for a disabled or elderly person. I have a large bedroom w/bathroom in my home for the right individual. I've been certified but let it expire after I left working in convalescent home several years ago. More recently I have, in my home, taken care of a disabled elderly man (6 years) until he passed & a quadriplegic for a much shorter time. I'm ready to provide for the right person and would like suggestions on where/how to find that person. (The two mentioned came to me by "word of mouth" "friend of friend")
